Home	Hello, I'm Clive Jackson, this is my website! Why jacksonresidence, well I'm a Jackson and this is my home page would be the obvious answer. The real reason is more fun 'though: Despite his working class background (maintaining the machines in a Leicester textiles factory), my Grandad had the playful habit of answering the telephone (when they eventually got one) with the words "Hello, this is the Jackson Residence, may I ask who's speaking?". As a child I was fascinated by this and, whenever we visited, I would race to the 'phone when it rang in order to answer in the same way - much to the amusement of calling friends and relatives. So now nearly 30 years later I get to immortalise those words with my domain name - I really ought to have a telephone symbol somewhere around here, maybe on the next update. At the moment, the site is not heavily populated with content and is mainly a vehicle for my CV and Publications list. Hopefully, in future, I'll be able to furnish you, dear reader, with some lighter material. In the meantime feel free to browse the Links section for a taster of some 'Interesting Stuff...'
